Request for Enrollment

Summer 2013 term

Students who submit Request for Enrollment forms on Monday, April 8, 2013, or after will be enrolled in the Summer 2013 Independent Study (correspondence) term.

IMPORTANT: Students who plan to use financial aid (scholarships, grants, etc.) to pay for Independent Study (correspondence) courses in Summer 2013 and/or want correspondence courses to be counted toward the total credit hours required to maintain scholarship or financial aid eligibility for Summer 2013 must submit their forms between April 10, 2013, and May 21, 2013. The Department of Independent Study strives to make your experience as a student as close to the on-campus experience as possible by individually assisting with enrollment, student accounts, and financial aid information. Following is a step-by-step approach to participating in Independent Study courses:

  1. Review guidelines for acceptable proctors on the Examination Proctor Request Form and review the list of Arkansas Examination Centers. Stop and contact our office if you have any concerns about locating an acceptable proctor. Students outside the U.S. are encouraged to confirm proctoring arrangements prior to enrolling.
  2. Complete the Request for Enrollment form
  3. Secure required approval signatures
  4. Fax, mail, or deliver the application to the Department of Independent Study

  5. Contact textbook vendor to secure books for course
  6. Begin your work! In addition to the above services, the Global Campus' technical staff assists students participating in our online offerings through the Blackboard course management system.
