The Department of Independent Study strives to make your experience as a student as close to the on-campus experience as possible by individually assisting with admissions, registration, student accounts, and financial aid information. Following is a step-by-step approach to participating in Independent Study courses:

1. Complete the Application for Independent Study
2. Secure required approval signatures
3. Fax, mail, or deliver the application to the Department of Independent Study
   Fax to: 479.575.7232 (APPLICATION ONLY: Do not fax credit card information.)
   Mail or Deliver to: Department of Independent Study 2 East Center Fayetteville, AR 72701
4. Contact textbook vendor to secure books for course
5. Begin your work! In addition to the above services, the Global Campus' technical staff assists students in participating in our online offerings through the Blackboard course management system.
