About me, in my words

I was born and raised in Arkansas. I earned my undergraduate degree in finance and banking from the University of Arkansas, and after graduating I worked at The Bank of Fayetteville for seven years. During this time the technology boom was taking off, and I knew I wanted to work in the technology field, but not as a programmer. Soon afterwards I enrolled in the Master of Education in Educational Technology program at the University of Arkansas.  After earning my Master of Education in Educational Technology, I took a job at the University of Texas at Dallas as the eLearning Manager for the Global Leadership Executive MBA program. After nine years of living in Dallas, Texas, I have come full circle. I’m living in Fayetteville, again, and back working on the square.

My favorite book is...

Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption.” After reading this book you can never complain about having a bad day.

The best part about working with faculty is...

building the working relationship with them and learning what they are interested in and how we can transfer those interests into their online courses.

When I walk across the University of Arkansas campus, I am always amazed...

how much the campus has changed, numbers wise and building wise, since I was an undergraduate and graduate. I also like to read the names on the sidewalks and think in some small way I’m helping students achieve their goal of getting a diploma and having their names placed on Senior Walk.
